This chip carved box I made years ago. One of my first ones. It's a fairly simple box, but one of my favorites. It just turned out perfectly.

Making an axe box
This video shows carving some of the detail on the lid of a box. The box was made to store an axe. I made the axe handle and the box, and both are based on Viking designs. The whole thing was a retirement gift. I figured the box needed to be as special as the axe handle. The project was made a couple years ago, but I thought it would be fun to film some of it. Finally got around to making a short video of it. Hope its entertaining.
Medallion for a door
I carved and painted a medallion to match some hardware on the door. I wanted to balance out the hardware. It is painted to look like old rusted iron.

Shelf insert for a hole in the wall.
There was a hole in our bathroom wall. I wanted to make some shelves to fill it and make it look nice. These shelves are made out of white oak and Siberian elm. The elm came from the tree we cut down in the back yard. The white oak has some really cool tiger effects. Kind of art nouveau inspired.
Painting
This is a painting I did a while back for a friend. I don't get to do as much painting as I used to. Maybe one day I'll get back into it. This was very similar to an old painting.
